FAQ - Motorhome/Camper Hire
1. What documents do I need to hire a motorhome/campervan?
You’ll need a valid driving licence (UK or international), two forms of ID from insurers list matching your Driving Licence address and dated within 90 days of hire, and a credit/debit card for the security deposit.

The check code is valid for 21 days.
To drive our Barra Autoroller Rollerteam 747 you must have a C1 on your licence (or equivalent for non-UK licence holders i.e. be able to drive vehicles weighing over 3650kg)
2. How old do I need to be to hire a motorhome/campervan?
Drivers must be 25–70 years old with at least 2 years of driving experience.
3. Is insurance included in the hire price?
Yes - fully comprehensive insurance is included.

4. What is the security deposit?
£1200 Pre Authorisation hold by debit or credit card 2 days before your hire.
This will be released back to you with 7 days after the vehicle is returned, subject to vehicle inspection by Luxury Winnebago Scotland.
5. How does payment work?
25% Booking Deposit.
75% 4 Weeks before Rental.
Payment is due in full if booking is less than 28 days to rental start date.
6. Can I bring pets?
Yes!
We offer pet-friendly motorhomes/campervans. Please note:
All pets must be kept off the bed, seats and fabric covers at all times.
Please do not leave pets alone in the vehicle at any time.
Please add accompanying pet option at checkout.
7. Is there a mileage limit?
1000 miles per week or 145 miles per day for shorter hires.
Excess mileage charged at £0.40 per mile
8. Can I take the motorhome abroad?
No, our motorhomes/campervans are for UK travel only. All of our vehicles have trackers fitted.
9. What is included inside the motorhome/campervan?
Full kitchen setup (no oven in campervans)
Kettle, crockery, glassware, pots, frying pan, cutlery, kitchen utensils.
Bathroom with shower (no bathroom in the Ford Campervans – Porta Potti available)
Heating
Bedding and towels (optional add-on)
Camping table and chairs
Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms
Electric hook up cable and adaptor
Hose with fittings
Washing Up Liquid, hand soap, cloths, dish towels, bin bags, floor wipes, Anti-bac spray

10. Where do I collect the motorhome?
Collection is from our Bellshill base. Directions will be provided after booking.
11. Can I leave my car when collecting the motorhome?
Yes, we offer on-site parking in our gated compound for the duration of your holiday. Vehicles are left at customers’ own risk.
12. What time can I collect the motorhome and what time does it need to be back?
Collection is 2pm and return by 11am.
13. What happens if something goes wrong during my trip?
You’ll have 24/7 breakdown assistance, plus direct contact with our team for support.
14. Is there a minimum hire duration?
Please note minimum hire is 3 nights.
15. What if I have to cancel my booking?
We aim to be as flexible as possible, and understand sometimes things change.
If you cancel more than 4 weeks before your collection date, the 25% deposit will be retained.
If you cancel less than 4 weeks before your collection date, 100% of the hire costs will be retained.
We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance when you confirm your hire to cover all eventualities.

1. Who typically hires your Production Winnebagos?
We work with TV and film production companies, corporate event teams, festivals, PR agencies, musicians, and VIP hospitality clients.
2. Are the Winnebagos suitable for long-term hire?
Yes — we regularly support long-term productions and touring contracts. Long-term rates are available.
3. Do you provide delivery and setup?
Yes - all units include delivery, placement, levelling, setup, and collection by our team.
4. Do you offer on-site support during productions or events?
We can provide on-site technical support, cleaning services, and logistics coordination upon request.
5. What facilities do the Winnebagos include?
Each unit varies, but typical features include:
Luxury living spaces
Make-up/wardrobe areas
Production offices
Sleeping quarters (on request)
Private bathrooms
Kitchenette
Air conditioning & heating
6. Can the Winnebagos be branded for an event or production?
Yes - external branding, interior styling, and custom layouts can be arranged depending on requirements.
7. Are the Winnebagos road-legal across the UK?
Yes
8. Can you provide multiple units for large productions?
Absolutely - we can supply multiple Winnebagos, support vehicles, and additional accommodation as needed.
9. Do you work with tight timelines?
Definitely - we specialise in fast turnarounds, last-minute bookings, and production-critical deadlines.

Yes - we can visit your location to ensure access, placement, and power requirements are suitable.
